Westchester County Librarian Allee Manning founded the Westchester LGBTQ+ History Project in 2023. The Project includes oral history interviews with a growing number of Westchester LGBTQ+ community organizers, authors, historians, and artists alonside original research. In 2025, Sarah Lawrence College students Ashe Engbretson, Lucas Estern, and Emily Leonard conducted new oral histories and produced this multimedia exhibit.
